Ammonium Citrate is an inorganic salt with the formula C6H17N3O7. It consists of ammonium cations (NH4+) and the citrate anion (C6H5O73-).
In its pure form, it appears as a white to slightly yellow, hygroscopic crystalline solid. The compound is highly soluble in water and has no distinct odor.

Ammonium Citrate is the ammonium salt of citric acid (C₆H₁₇N₃O₇). It appears as a white to slightly yellow, hygroscopic crystalline solid, is highly soluble in water, and typically functions as a buffer, chelating agent, and catalyst precursor.
They are produced at our manufacturing facilities in Germany.
Pure Ammonium Citrate has no distinct odor. At elevated temperatures, decomposition can release ammonia or citric acid vapors.
