Lohtragon® Within the Various REACH Legislations – EU, KKDIK, South Korea, UK

Several products within the Dr. Paul Lohmann^® product range are concerned by the various REACH legislations, including the metal salts synergized under our Lohtragon^® brand. REACH stands for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals. The main objective of this chemicals legislation is to ensure a high level of human health and environment protection.

• EU REACH 

Thanks to our ongoing regulatory services we offer a range of more than 100 EU REACH registered metal salts according to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.

• UK REACH

The UK REACH regulation applies to chemical substances that are manufactured in or imported into Great Britain (England, Scotland, and Wales). We have successfully entered the recent transitional period of the Downstream User Import Notification (DUIN), and intend to register various products accordingly. • Turkish REACH | KKDIK

KKDIK is the new Turkish REACH regulation covering the Turkish Ministry of Environmental and Urbanization (MoEU) Regulation on chemicals and their safe use. After a successful pre-registration phase for several of our metal salts, we are ready to start KKDIK registrations. Please get in touch with us in case of KKDIK requirements.

• Korean REACH | K REACH

Governed by the South Korean Ministry of Environment (MoE), Korean REACH refers to the secure usage of chemical substances that are produced in or imported into South Korea. Considering the related timelines of K REACH, we are prepared to initiate corresponding registrations. Lohtragon^® and Food Contact Requirements

In various industrial applications the materials interact with food and thus must be appropriate for food contact, such as packaging for food products. For these applications, we can offer respective product qualities, including food monographs like E No (European Food Legislation, Commission Regulation EU No 231/2012) or the Food Chemicals Codex (FCC). Depending on the individual product and end application, our experts will also have a look into specific legislations, such as Generally Recognized as Save (GRAS) 21CFR184.1195 or the European Food Contact Compliance according to EU No 10/2011 for plastic applications. CLP (Classification, Labelling, and Packaging & GHS (Globally Harmonized System)

The CLP regulation in the EU sets rules for the classification, labelling, and packaging of substances and mixtures. We work according to this CLP standard criteria for determining the hazards of chemicals and provide the appropriate warning labels on our products. The GHS, as international approach, provides the framework for harmonizing the classification and labelling of chemicals across different countries and regions and is also applied.
